This is a reproduction of my 16”x20” oil painting. It is printed on high quality archival paper using giclee ink to ensure color quality and to prevent ink fading or yellowing. It comes mounted on 1/4” backing board for the 16”x20” print and 1/8” backing board for the 8”x10” making a durable product and easier to frame. It comes unframed.
This is a painting of a Cutthroat Trout being released back into the Clearwater River. It was caught on a large dry fly (can’t tell you which one?). It hit the fly hard and ran into the strong current. After an exciting fight that took us a bit downstream, my son and I landed this beautiful trout. My 14 year old son took the reference photos for this painting. “Good job, Son!” I wanted to capture the golden quality of the sunlight, not only on this magnificent fish, but on the river bottom as well. It is mesmerizing to see the light dancing so brightly in such clear water.
