This is a reproduction of my original 8”x10” oil painting. Printed on high quality archival paper and using giclee ink to ensure color quality and to prevent the ink from fading or yellowing. It comes mounted on a 1/8” thick backer board to increase the durability and to make framing easier. It comes unframed.
This is a Cutthroat trout that I caught on my fly rod in one of my favorite spots to fish. It is not a trophy for its size, though it is not a tiny trout, either. It struck me that many people have seen very similar fish from this very same angle as they release the fish back into the river. An ordinary scene, and, yet, a scene dreamed about often by us who have fished for Cutthroat in the mountain waters. This fish is a trophy because fishing for it is an adventure.
