Otters

This is a reproduction of my original 16”x20” oil painting. It is printed on high quality archival paper using giclee ink to ensure color quality and to prevent the ink from fading or yellowing. It comes mounted to a 1/4” backing board for the 16”x20” size and 1/8” for the 8”x10” to increase the durability and make it easier to frame. It comes unframed.

These Otters were at a boat landing on the Clearwater River. We had pulled over to take a photo of a bald eagle. As i was taking shots of the eagle, I kept hearing noises below me. I had to find out who was making all that noise, so I walked down the boat ramp to get a view, and I saw these otters. There were actually five of them, but they would not stay still long enough for me to get a picture of all of them together. They were playing and chewing on the heads of salmon that fisherman had cleaned, and left the heads and skeletons. They were having a great time and barely paid any attention to us.
