This is a reproduction of my 16”x20” oil painting. Printed on high quality archival paper using giclee ink to ensure color quality and prevent fading or yellowing. This print comes mounted to 1/4” backing board for the 16”x20” size and 1/8” for the 8”x10” to increase the durability and make it easier to frame. It comes unframed.
With intentions to get some good reference photos, I headed into the mountains on one of my favorite roads. About three quarters of the way from my intended destination, I was blocked by downed trees—a lot of downed trees. I backed up my pick up for a quarter mile, so I could turn around. Looking out the window, I saw a game trail headed into the woods, so, of course, I took it. Before long, I ran into this tree covered in moss. It reminded me of an old man with a long beard. This is a palette knife painting.
